Durango Mobile Sauna LLC Operations Plan

Mission: 

 

Durango Mobile Sauna provides unique experiences of deep rejuvenation and memorable connection by combining the fundamental power of fire & water with the luxury of a private spa on wheels delivered directly to your doorstep.

Delivery Preparation: 

  • Refer to rental specification via website & customer communications 

  • Inspect tires for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • Inspect towing equipment for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • Inspect sauna exterior for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • Inspect sauna interior for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • After ensuring stove is cool, remove sauna rocks using leather gloves from stove and store in metal bucket and pack in truck

  • After ensuring stove and chimney are cool, use 8’ ladder & leather gloves remove chimney pipe from roof and secure raincap to remaining chimney pipe terminus. Store in sleeve and pack into truck

  • Pack 8’ ladder and sauna entrance stairs in truck 

  • Pack appropriate amount of firewood & kindling based on rental duration into truck 

  • Pack ash bucket, cold plunge, hose, towels, towel basket and water bucket & ladle into truck

  • Pack chairs, fire bowl & firewood (according to rental specifications)

  • Hitch trailer to truck and test running and brake and turning lights. Replace lights as needed

  • Retract trailer jacks to transport ready positions

  • Remove wheel chalks and pack in truck along with jack pads

 

Vehicle Inspection:

  • Check all lights (headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals) to ensure they are in working order

  • Inspect tires for proper inflation, tread depth, and any signs of damage or wear

  • Check all mirrors to ensure they are properly adjusted and free of cracks

  • Test brakes to ensure they are functioning properly and have adequate brake pad thickness

  • Inspect windshield and windows for any cracks or chips that could impair visibility, check horn to ensure it is functioning properly

  • Inspect seat belts to ensure they are working properly and free of any damage

  • Check fluid levels (oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid) and top off as needed, Inspect steering and suspension components for any signs of wear or damage

Delivery:

  • Leave on time to ensure arrival to location by 3pm first day of rental

  • Keep speed to a maximum of 55 MPH while towing sauna

 

Sauna set up:

  • Upon arrival to customer location, park truck and sauna in safe temporary location and inspect final set-up site. Ensure site is at least 9x18 of level ground with no overhead obstructions

  • Deliver sauna to set-up site, ensure sauna is positioned safely with room for stair set up, chimney addition and space for cold plunge nearby

  • Chalk wheels, unhitch trailer from truck, extend jacks with pads placed underneath as needed for soft ground, level trailer

  • Use 8’ ladder to re-attach chimney pipe length and re-attach raincap to top

  • Set up entrance stairs

  • Place rocks into stove receptacle 

  • Place ash bucket in location per customer request and fill with 2’’ water

  • Place neatly folded towels on changing room bench and towel basket in location per customer request 

  • Place cold plunge on level surface nearby per customer request

  • Help customer locate water spigot and attach hose

  • Store firewood & kindling in nearby location per customer request 

  • Set up chairs, fire bowl & wood per customer request (according to rental specifications)

  • Lock on trailer hitch & inform customer sauna is not to be moved

  • Return ladder & materials as needed to truck 

 

Inspection: 

  • Make a thorough inspection of sauna for damage & wear and tear WITH the customer, note any damage or signs of wear and tear and have customer sign waiver acknowledging these & their responsibility for any new damage during the course of their rental

 

Sauna Instruction:

  • Provide a thorough orientation of how to safely operation the sauna and stove - Refer to “Sauna Operation Manual”

  • Ask the customer if they have any questions and take time to answer until customer is fully oriented 

  • Offer to make the first fire for the customer 


 

Pick Up:

  • Refer to rental specification via website & customer communications 

  • Leave on time to ensure pick up from customer location by 1 pm last day of rental

 

Inspection:

  • Make a thorough inspection of sauna for damage & wear and tear WITH the customer, note any damage or signs of wear and tear and have customer sign waiver acknowledging these. Note any new damage or signs of abnormal wear and tear including on cold plunge, fire bowl, chairs, towels, and water bucket & ladle

 

Breakdown for Return Transportation: 

  • Inspect tires for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • Inspect towing equipment for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • Inspect sauna exterior for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • Inspect sauna interior for wear and tear and ensure it is ready for use

  • After ensuring stove is cool, remove sauna rocks using leather gloves from stove and store in metal bucket and pack in truck

  • After ensuring stove and chimney are cool, use 8’ ladder & leather gloves remove chimney pipe from roof and secure raincap to remaining chimney pipe terminus. Store in sleeve and pack into truck

  • Pack appropriate amount of firewood & kindling based on rental duration into truck 

  • Pack ash bucket, empty cold plunge, hose, towels & basket, and water bucket & ladle into truck

  • Pack chairs, fire bowl & firewood (according to rental specifications)

  • Hitch trailer to truck and test running and brake and turning lights. Replace lights as needed

  • Retract trailer jacks to transport ready positions

  • Remove wheel chalks and pack in truck along with jack pads

  • Drive safely back to storage location

 

Storage & Cleaning:

  • Return sauna to storage location

  • Chalk wheels, unhitch trailer, lower jacks, level trailer 

  • Wash towels in washer on hot with detergent and white vinegar, dry fold and store in laundry room 

  • Use 50/50 mix of white vinegar and warm water to scrub clean: towel basket, sauna benches & walls, remove floor boards to scrub clean, and cold plunge 

  • With floor boards removed, sweep sauna floors and mop with 50/50 solution 

  • Open window and door and allow sauna to air dry for at least one hour

  • Return floor boards to sauna, store laundry basket in laundry room

  • Check cleaning supplies in laundry room and firewood supply in shed and make note / order more if running low

  • Dump ash bucket after ensuring all the coals are extinguished & store in shed

 

Administrative:

  • Assess cost of damages as needed and make notation of any damages and their associated costs to keep records of and to send along with any remaining deposit that is being returned to customer

  • Initiate deposit return to customer, attach notes as needed
